My name is HIROMI and I'm the owner and artisan of TELLER.
Born in Japan, I spent my earliest years in my father’s print shop, where I became a friend with colors and familiar with materials - how things respond, how they take shape, and how precision gives work its quiet strength.
That foundation continued through a lifelong connection to creating - from photography to leathercraft - and still shapes every piece I craft today. Imagination informs structure. Materials are chosen with intention. Each element is placed with care as the piece comes together.
Each piece is fully handcrafted using the finest European and American leathers.
Influenced by life between Tokyo, Barcelona, Los Angeles, and Chicago, and a long appreciation for menswear traditions across Japan, America, and Britain, my work explores a balance of utility, craftsmanship and character.
Out of respect for leather as a material that was once part of a living being, I approach leathercraft as a way of extending its life through thoughtful transformation while preserving and enhancing its character.
Leather continues to change over time - breathing, softening, and developing its own story through use. I hope your piece becomes part of that evolution, shaped by how you live with it.
