My name is HIROMI and I'm the owner and artisan of TELLER.
Born in Japan, I spent my earliest years in my father’s print shop, surrounded by mountains of paper and the scent of ink.
There, I became friends with color, learning how materials respond, how things are built from the ground up, and how precision honors the work itself.
That foundation continues to guide every piece I create today. Imagination shapes the structure, each element is placed with care as the composition comes together, and materials are selected with intention - nothing without purpose. Every creation is the result of this process: a balance of discipline, curiosity, and care, brought to life in tangible form.
All products are fully handcrafted, each one either custom-made or one-of-a-kind, using premium Italian, French, and American leathers.
With a focus on quality and craftsmanship, each piece is designed to balance simplicity with style—ranging from chic to rugged to playful—expressed through color, form, and detail.
Out of respect for the fact that leather was once part of a living animal, I approach leathercraft as a way of giving it continued life through thoughtful transformation.
No matter its origin or appearance, every piece of leather is equally meaningful to me, and I give it new life by elevating its inherent character. Leather changes as it ages - breathing, softening, and developing its own story.
