TELLER vs SILVERCLAW Simple Guide

Both lines are made by me in the same Chicago studio.
Here’s a breakdown of the differences:

PRODUCTION METHOD

TELER:

Fully handcrafted using only traditional hand tools (no machinery: no sewing machine, no die-cut, etc.)

SILVERCLAW:

Same as TELER or a mix of hand-stitching and machine stitching. If the page states “From cutting to completion, each process is done by hand,” it follows the same method as TELER.

LEATHERS

TELER:

The leathers from the listed heritage-tanneries

SILVERCLAW:

Same as TELER or leathers from other tanneries. Heritage leather will be clearly noted if used.

PRODUCTION QUANTITY
TELER

One-of-One or custom-made with material options (leathers, threads etc.)

SILVERCLAW:

One-of-One or made-to-order from existing designs with no adjustments. One-of-One items will be clearly noted.

Clarifications:

  1. ONE-OF-A-KIND with heritage leather but stitched partially by machine → SILVERCLAW

  2. ONE-OF-A-KIND made entirely by hand but with leather from an unlisted tannery. → SILVERCLAW

  3. Made entirely by hand with heritage leather but produced in two pieces → SILVERCLAW
