VINCENT: "TEA-CORE" BELT (HORWEEN HORSEHIDE) SOUKOKU (蒼黒- GREEN-BLACK)

This SOUKOKU finish develops over time as the black surface gradually wears, revealing underlying green tones and evolving a rich depth of character in the leather.
 
The surface is colored in controlled layers to preserve the natural contrast between the finish and the leather beneath. This balance is intentional and is designed to encourage the gradual development of tea-core patina through everyday wear.
 
The belt is intentionally finished with a natural matte appearance rather than a high-gloss polish. I apply only the amount of finish needed to protect the surface while allowing the leather to breathe, age naturally, and gradually reveal its character over time. Rather than fixing its final appearance from the beginning, I prefer to let the leather develop its own luster through everyday use—while still leaving the option to increase shine later through buffing and regular care if you prefer.

With tea-core leather, that process becomes especially visible, as the surface gradually reveals warmer tones beneath through everyday wear.
 
1.25" (32 mm) wide for a versatile profile suited to both casual and everyday wear.
 
The D-ring closure provides a flexible fit without fixed sizing holes, allowing for easy adjustment and everyday comfort.
 
Fitted with solid brass D-rings, Chicago screw, grommets, and rivets, all finished in antique brass.
 
Every edge and the entire flesh side of the belt are carefully hand-burnished for a smooth, refined finish.
 
From cutting and hand-coloring to burnishing and final assembly, every step is completed by hand in my Chicago workshop.

Please choose your size based on your waist measurement. If you're between sizes, I recommend choosing the larger size. The Vincent's D-ring design is generally more comfortable with a little extra length. As a general guide, a 33" waist typically falls between S and M, with M offering a slightly longer, more relaxed fit. If you're unsure, feel free to contact me before ordering!
